CO-FOUNDER

Graduate of the Paris XI Faculty of Pharmacy, he has been investing in the financial markets since 1967. His extensive experience in international equity, options and futures markets are useful to him in his duties as Secretary General of Banque Stern since 1985. In 1993 he joined a large European family financial group as executive manager for all international structures until 2006.

In response to the need for a management company, he founded the company STEED Capital in 2013 with Vincent De Praet. This happened in Maastricht, which is not by chance a symbolic place in the history of the European Union.

Vincent De Praet
CO-FOUNDER

He completed his secondary studies in Dutch and then obtained a Master in French in Economic Sciences (econometrics) at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). He began his career in 1998 at the brokerage firm Leleux & Cie in Brussels. In 2001 he became Delegate Agent of a new office for the same company, which he helped create in Waterloo. Wanting to offer additional services, he chose to join a Luxembourg management company in 2007.

His customers appreciate his availability and the care he takes in handling their wishes.
Multilingual, oriented towards Europe and with an entrepreneurial spirit rooted in the family, the co-founding of STEED Capital with his partner Richard Bessis is a logical step for him.

Liesbeth van Herk
COMPLIANCE

Graduated in 1999 in macroeconomic policy and regional economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She started her career at Fortis Bank as a project manager. There she organized the connection to the new stock exchange system and the first integration plans of Fortis Netherlands with Fortis Belgium and Fortis Luxembourg. In 2005, she joined GE Artesia Bank as Business Change Manager. She improved the private banking processes and implemented the new European MiFID legislation.

In 2010, she created her own asset management company under the name of HENS Vermogensbeheer (now part of Verwer & Janssen). She mainly occupies the duties of Control and Compliance Manager for STEED Capital since 2014 after approval by AFM and DNB.

Eric Nemeth
ADVISOR

Graduate of HEC Paris, he began his career at Saint-Gobain where he was responsible for the group’s privatization in 1986. He became an investment banker in 1989 when he joined Banque Stern-Groupe SBS where he met Richard Bessis.
Passionate about the stock market since a young age, he became Managing Director of Détroyat Associés, then the main independent financial and stock market analysis firm in France in 1997. In 1999, he joined Deutsche Bank France as a member of the Executive Committee. In 2004 he created private equity funds and assumed various independent director positions in different financial, industrial and service companies.

Interested in the project, he decided to participate in its development and offers STEED Capital the benefit of his long experience in financial analysis for ideas generation based on fundamental analysis.
